Sash & Case Window Installation on One of Glasgow’s Busiest Junctions

This project involved the installation of bespoke sash and case windows within a traditional West End tenement overlooking the junction of Byres Road and Great Western Road — one of Glasgow’s busiest locations.

Situated above a vibrant mix of shops, cafés and restaurants, the works required careful planning to ensure safe access for deliveries, removal works and installation while minimising disruption to surrounding businesses and traffic. To assist with logistics on the busy street below, our team began on site at 6am, with additional staff present to manage loading and unloading the windows and act as banksmen throughout the installation process.

The original windows were carefully removed and replaced with bespoke timber sash and case windows, handcrafted in our Glasgow workshop to complement the character and proportions of the traditional tenement property. The completed installation has significantly improved comfort, performance and functionality while maintaining the building’s original architectural detailing.
